The Ordinary Session of the Association of Health Centers of Montenegro will be held on Friday, 29 January at Cetinje at 1 p.m.

The Session, which will be attended by the members of the Association, who are the representatives of 18 Montenegrin health centres, JAU “Montefarm” and the Institute for Public Health of Montenegro, will analyse the past activities of this body and assess the current situation and position of public health institutions in primary health care.

The working meeting with the Major of Cetinje, Dr Milo Janković, is scheduled for 11 o’clock on the same day, while at 12 o’clock the members of the Association will pay a work visit to the Health Center Cetinje, as a sign of support to the management of this health institution, and make their contribution to the development of primary health care in the old royal capital.

The Association of Health Centers of Montenegro was established in February 2006. The President of the Association is Dr. Zoran Špadijer, the Director of the Health Center Budva, and the President of the Management Board is Dr. Nebojša Kavarić, the Director of the Health Center Podgorica. Since  primary health care is an extremely important foothold of every health system, the goals of the Association are, among other things, the recognition of this segment in the entire health system, improvement and development of the ways and methods of treatment in accordance with requirements of modern medical science and doctrine, as well as considering and suggesting the introduction of new ways and methods of treatment in primary health care. .
